E + R Tongva Park Minimony Wedding Photography LA
Elizabeth and Robb’s plan had to change slightly when Covid shut everything down. I’m so happy they still decided to prioritize photos, though. I was still able to be their Santa Monica wedding photographer. They cut down their guest list significantly, changed their venue, and ended up getting married at Tongva Park in Santa Monica. The park is a well-kept secret, something you pass often without realizing it’s even a park. It’s just steps away from the Santa Monica Pier. But it wasn’t crowded and we had one of those amazing, golden sunsets.
Elizabeth and Robb got ready at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel and Bungalows, right off the Santa Monica Pier. They hired a limo-style van for the day. The van took us from the hotel to Tongva Park. They said their vows on the sculpted balcony that overlooks the beach. They scheduled their vows for about 45 minutes before sunset. The haze from the ocean gave us golden light throughout the ceremony. After the ceremony, we took group photos at prime photography hour. Then, everyone walked a couple of steps to Chez Jay for an informal reception and drinks.
