On September 2nd, 2021, a boy and a girl hiked into the Yosemite wilderness and came out husband and wife. I got to photograph Stephanie and Alistair’s Yosemite elopement portraits. The day after they eloped, we met at Glacier point right as the sun began to rise and captured their love in camera.

Yosemite is a cathedral. The soaring walls of pale rock feel intentional, regal, and ancient. Like they know more than the rest of us. Even crowds of people are awed into whispers. The light plays off of the rocks, mixes with the giant redwoods, and falls with a grace that is unique to Yosemite.

If you’ve been to Yosemite with me, you’ve heard me say this: there’s not a bad shot here. Get a good photographer, and you have the most epic wedding venue ever. Sunrise and sunset are pure magic. Being an elopement photographer in Yosemite is the best job ever.
